Activity of the Week

Create a "textural rainbow" using objects of varying texture. Collect objects with different surfaces — bark, cloth, leaves, fruit shells -- from smooth to rough to abrasive and arrange them in order from smoothest to roughest. Then using PlayDoh or clay try to simulate these textures, or, using the long side of a crayon with the paper removed, try making a rubbing of each of the textures.
